Friday Soup Kitchen

......has existed for over forty years because we believe it’s our responsibility to help our neighbors who just don’t get enough to eat. So, every Friday, 52 weeks a year, a dedicated community of volunteers come together to prepare and serve a hot, nutritious lunch to over 250 guests. No questions asked, all are welcome.

Carole and Donna have been leading Friday Soup Kitchen for over five years.
"We both love helping our hungry neighbors every week and being with the most dedicated volunteers in New York City. It’s amazing how our volunteers and guests come together to form a warm, inviting community based on mutual respect and caring. We especially love working with the local schoolchildren, teaching them how to serve the community and what friendship and kindness means to those less fortunate. Together."
